Aloo Gobi

Aloo Gobi Recipe is a vegetarian Punjabi dish with potatoes (aloo), cauliflower (gobi), and turmeric.
Ingredients
  Oil 2 Tablespoon
  Asafoetida 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cumin seeds 1 Teaspoon
  Green chili 1 , chopped finely
  Tomato 1 , finely chopped
  Turmeric powder 1 Teaspoon
  Coriander powder 2 Teaspoon
  Red chili powder 1⁄2 Tablespoon
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon
  Cauliflower 250 Gram, chop
  Potato 250 Gram, chop
  Coriander leaves 1 Tablespoon (as needed)
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Salt To Taste
Directions

MAKING
1. In a skillet, heat oil, add asafoetida and cumin. Let it splutter.
2. Add green chili, and tomato. Cook well.
3. Stir in turmeric powder, coriander powder, sugar, and red chili powder. Fry until tomato becomes soft.
4. Add potato and cauliflower pieces. Reduce the flame and toss briefly.
5. Season with salt and pour water as needed. Cover and cook on low for 5-7 minutes.

SERVING
6. Garnish with coriander and enjoy with roti.
