Tomato Jackfruit Curry

Ingredients

Jackfruit 1/2 Kilogram , cut into pieces
Onion 1 Large , sliced
Tomato 1 Large , cut into small pieces
Ginger garlic paste 1 Teaspoon
Red chili powder 1 Teaspoon
Green chilies 4 Medium , slit lengthwise
Turmeric powder 1/4 Teaspoon
Water 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Vegetable oil 2 Tablespoon
Salt To Taste
Fresh coriander leaves 20 Gram

Directions

MAKING:

1. Heat oil in a pot and add onions and green chilies. Fry for about 3 minutes till the onions turn translucent. Add ginger garlic paste along with salt and fry till the onions turn golden brown.

2. Add red chili powder and turmeric powder to the onion base and fry for about 3 minutes till the oil separates.

3. Add jackfruit pieces to the onion base and fry for 3 minutes and add water to the curry. Cover and cook for about 10 mins, till the jackfruit is half cooked.

4. Add tomatoes to the curry and cook further for another 10 minutes, till the jackfruit is completely cooked. Adjust salt as needed and reduce the gravy, if needed.

SERVING:

5. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with rice or rotis, as desired.
