Sheera is generally prepared in lot of religious occassions in a Maharashtrian family, where it is generally served as prasad (offering to Gods). A very easy and a delicious dish to make!
Ingredients
  Rava 1 Cup (16 tbs) (wheat flour)
  Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Water 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Cardamom powder 1 Gram, crushed
  Almonds and cashew 5 Small (optional)
  Saffron 1 Pinch
  Banana 1 Small, crushed
  Ghee 2 Tablespoon
For garnishing
  Raisin 1 Teaspoon
Directions

MAKING
1.Roast rava for 3-5 minutes on a low flame.
2.Add ghee and continue roasting for some time, then keep it aside.
3.In a vessel add sugar, milk, water, cardamom powder, almond,cashew, saffron & banana. Let it boil.
4.Add roasted rava and stir to avoid lumps. Cover the vessel with a lid, so that the rava gets steam cooked.
5.Garnish with raisin.

SERVING
6.Serve it hot.
