1.Start by soaking the rice in a cup of water for 20 minutes.
2.In a ziplock bag, take the jaggery and the cardamom and pound it with a mallet.
3.Drain the rice and spread on a kitchen towel to dry.
4.Once it is almost dry, grind the rice to a fine powder like consistency.
5.Mix the jaggery cardamom mixture with the rice flour.
6.Remove the shells of the cardamom.
7.Work on the mixture till it comes together in a coarse dough.
8.Divide the dough in two parts.
9.Oil your palms and shape the dough into lamps.
10.Pour in ghee and set in the wicks.
11.Oil the wicks and ignite the lamps.
12.Once the flame goes out, crumble the lamps and serve.
