1. Soak chickpeas over night and boil for 1 hour the next day.
2. In a rice bowl add chana dal, chick peas, salt, chili powder, cumin powder and coriander powder.
3. Add chat masala if desired and mix well.
4. Chop tomatoes and mix with the mixture.
5. Pour 2 to 2 ½ cup of water and place in the cooker.
6. Close the lid and cook until done.
7. Once done garnish with cilantro leaves, onion slices and serve with rotis.
