Lauki Ki Sabzi
|Lauki||1 Medium (Dudhi/Bottle gourd)|
|Onions||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Ginger garlic paste||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Mustard seeds||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Cumin seeds||1 Teaspoon (jeera)|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Coconut powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Dhaniya powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Turmeric powder||To Taste|
|Chilly powder||To Taste|
Scrape the skin & cut the bottle gourd into small cubes.
Heat oil in a skillet. Add mustard seeds & allow them to splutter; Then add cumin seeds, onions, ginger garlic paste, curry leaves, turmeric powder & saute until onions turn golden brown.
Add the chopped lauki pieces. Add salt & chilly powder. Add half cup milk & cover with lid.
Cook until the pieces turn tender. Add dhaniya powder & coconut powder. Mix well & cook another 2 minutes.
Serve Hot with Rotis/Rice.
