Double Ka Mitha
|Milk||2 Cup (32 tbs), reduced to 1 1/2 cups|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Saffron||1 Pinch, mixed with 1/4 cup water made into a thick syrup|
|Ghee||2 Tablespoon (To Fry)|
|Mawa/Clotted cream||200 Gram|
|Chopped nuts||2 Tablespoon|
|Cardamom powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Remove crust from bread and cut each slice into half.
Keep aside 2-3 tbs of sugar syrup and mix the rest with milk and pour into a bowl.
Fry raisins and nuts and keep aside.
Heat a little ghee at a time and fry bread slices on both sides and dip them immediately into the milk-syrup mixture.
Take out and arrange them in a shallow baking dish.
Cover slices with mawa or clotted cream.
Glaze them with remaining sugar syrup.
Decorate with raisins and nuts.
Sprinkle cardamom powder and bake 10-15 mins in a mod, oven.
Serve warm or chilled.
