Indian Baked Cauliflower

Ingredients
  Cauliflower 1 , separated
  Onions 2 Large, sliced
  Ginger 1 Teaspoon
  Coriander 1 Teaspoon
  Turmeric 1 Teaspoon
  Cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Bay leaf 1
  Red cayenne pepper 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Oregano 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 2 Teaspoon
  Tomato paste 4 Ounce
  Tomatoes 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Canned / Fresh)
  Sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Lemon juice/Vinegar 1 Tablespoon
  Frozen peas 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Cook cauliflower 10 minutes in boiling water.
Fry onion.
Combine spices and onions, add tomato paste, tomatoes, sugar, and lemon or vinegar to make sauce.
Dip cooked and drained cauliflower into sauce and place into baking dish or casserole.
Pour remaining sauce over top.
Sprinkle peas over top.
Bake 30 minutes at 350°F.

this recipe only yielded a tiny amount of sauce. i ended up having to mix the cauliflower around in what little sauce there was. there was none left to pour over the top.

Hi, this is one of those Indian Grilled/Baked dishes which does not have a sauce of its own. Usually Indians have dal(Lentil Curry), or a main dish which has enough sauce of its own. Next time you want to make it and have some sauce of its own, try to double up the marinade/sauce and pour some on it 10 -15 minutes before you finish cooking. It will make a good sauce to have with it.
