East Indian Curried Bananas
|Light brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), firmly packed|
|Dry white wine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Orange juice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Lime juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Melted butter||3 Tablespoon|
|Curry powder||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
Combine sugar, wine, orange juice, lime juice, butter, and curry powder in a bowl.
Place peeled bananas side by side in a square 8x8 inch (or larger) baking dish.
Pour sauce over bananas and bake at 300 degrees for 30-35 minutes, basting frequently.
Try this with baked ham, roast pork, or poultry instead of a vegetable.
