|Cornmeal||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Shortening||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Raisins||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Bring milk just to the boiling point in saucepan.
Stir in enough cornmeal to make mixture consistency of mush.
Add shortening, sugar, raisins, salt and vanilla; mix well.
Spoon into baking dish.
Bake for 45 minutes or until set.
