Spicy Chicken Balls
|Boneless chicken pieces||1⁄2 Kilogram (cleaned and washed)|
|Onions||1⁄4 Kilogram, finely chopped|
|Ginger||1 Inch, finely chopped|
|Coriander leaves||1 Small, finely chopped|
|Coriander seeds||4 Teaspoon|
|Cumin seeds||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Oil||2 Tablespoon, divided|
|Oil||2 Cup (32 tbs) (For deep frying)|
Heat a tbsp of oil in cooking vessel. Add the cumin seeds, coriander seeds, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, red chillies and cashewnuts and roast for a minute till a nice aroma emanates. Watch out that they don't get burnt. Allow them to cool.
First grind the roasted ingredients along with ginger, garlic and green chillies to a coarse paste. Next add the chopped raw onions, coriander leaves, chicken and salt and grind further to form a smooth paste. Add a tbsp of oil to the ground mixture and mix thoroughly before shaping them into small sized balls.
Heat oil for deep frying. Once the oil gets heated , reduce the flame to medium and place these balls in the oil and fry them to a crisp, golden brown color.
Serve hot with tomato sauce or green chutney.
