My mom is the inspiration behind this recipe. She loves to make homemade juice, because it is fresher and healthier. This juice is a surefire way for kids to get their daily serving of a vegetable or fruit. Some people say tomato is a vegetable while others say it is a fruit. Either way, it’s a great antioxidant!
4 , stemmed and halved
2 Cup (32 tbs)
1⁄2 , juiced
1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
1 Cup (16 tbs) (as needed)
1. In a blender or a food processor, add the tomatoes and blend to puree.
2. Pour the tomato puree through a sieve into a pitcher.
3. Add in the water, saffron threads, cardamom, lime juice and sugar. Stir until well blended.
4. In a serving glass, filled with ice pour in the juice.
