Mango rice is a main course dish very much like the lemon rice ...it is made during summers when raw (sour) mangoes are available..
3 Cup (48 tbs), cooked, cooled
1 , grated
Black mustard seeds
1 Teaspoon, chopped
1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped
1. In a medium wok, heat oil, black mustard seeds, jeera, turmeric powder, green chili and curry leaves. When the curry leaves splutter, add rice, mango, cilantro and salt, stir fry for 10 minutes.
2. Serve hot with your choice of chutney or curry.
The mango should be very sour and you should not peel the skin.
