Fruity Mulligatawny Soup

Ingredients
  Apple 1
  Carrot 1 Large
  Onions 2
  Fat/Dripping 2 Ounce
  Flour 1 Ounce
  Curry powder 1 Tablespoon
  Stock 2 Pint
  Chutney 1 Tablespoon
  Sultanas 1 Ounce
  Seasoning To Taste
  Sugar 1 Pinch
  Lemon juice/Vinegar To Taste
Directions

Chop the apple and vegetables into tiny pieces, and toss in the hot dripping, then work in the flour and curry powder.
Add the stock, bring to the boil and cook until thickened.
Add chutney and sultanas and cook together for 45 minutes - 1 hour.
Rub through a sieve, return to the pan and taste.
Season if necessary and add a little sugar and lemon juice or vinegar.
