Palak Pulao

One of the tasty and healthy pulao recipes.
Ingredients
  Basmati rice 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Chopped spinach 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Sliced onion 2 Medium
  Cloves 3
  Cinnamon 1 Inch
  Black peppercorns To Taste
  Green cardamom 3
  Ginger 1 Inch, finely chopped
  Green chillies 3 , finely chopped
  Turmeric powder 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Ghee 2 Tablespoon (oil)
  Salt To Taste
Directions

1. Wash and soak rice for 30 minutes.
2. Heat ghee and add cloves, cardamom, cinnamon and black peppercorns. Saute for a few seconds.
3. Add sliced onions and fry till translucent.
4. Add ginger, green chilli, turmeric powder and spinach. Cook till the spinach is soft.
5. Add 4 cups of water and salt. Bring it to a boil.
6. Drain the water from rice and add it to the boiling water. Cook on a high heat till it comes to a boil again.
7. Mix well and allow it to cook on a medium heat till all the water evaporates stirring casually.
8. Serve hot along with raita or any curry.
