Ragi Dosa

  Ragi flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Urad dal 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Methi seed 1 Tablespoon
  Salt To Taste
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Adjust quantity of water as needed)

Soak urad dal and methi seeds toegther whole might.
Morning grind it and mix with ragi flour,salt .
Stir nicely and allow to ferment.
When it is ready stir the batter nicely and add on hot pan.
Roast both side and eat with peanut chutney,...........

Just plain roasted peanuts? Are they just eaten whole or crushed and mixed with other ingredients? I thought a chutney had various ingredients. I found this so maybe this is what you are referring to Shanti/Mary-Anne

Its a chutney made by grinding roasted peanuts with some spices. Usually its a dry chutney and you can store it for about a month. Its called as Shenga chutney and its very famous in Maharashtra. (Shenga means peanuts). Will try to upload the recipe soon.

Sarita-it is the chutney that was confusing-so please yes share your recipe. I knew it had to be more than peanuts. TIA Shanti/Mary-Anne

shanti can u tell what u want to ask ? i didn't get ur question ? Ingredients of peanuts chutney is Roasted peanut-1cup Salt to taste Coriander-2tbsp Curry Leaves-20 Redchillipd-1tsp water grind it smooth paste This chutney i used with Ragi Dosa. if u want to ask u can ask me.

hi,sarita ur r is a shenga chutney.its good to know that we can preserve for a month.i'll definately try to store.thx for ur comments.thx lots.i learnt this recipes from my mom.

I asked about the what is peanut chutney? and you answered roasted peanut u can get it deepaspgowda says: roasted peanut u can get it in supermarket I couldn't imagine just plain peanuts were a "chutney" as chutney always has more than one ingredient. Sarita explained, and will post a recipe for this shenga chutney. Of course your recipe would be most welcome. We love dosa!!! Shanti/Mary-Anne
