Idli Usli / Idli Upma

Ingredients
  Idlis 10
  Mustard 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Asafoetida 1 Pinch
  Green chillies 3
  Curry leaves sprig 1
  Grated coconut/Frozen grated coconut 1 Teaspoon (fresh)
  Coconut oil 2 Tablespoon
  Salt To Taste
Directions

Powder the idlis with hands.
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. When they splutter add asafoetida and curry leaves. Saute for 3 seconds.
Add slit green chillies and powdered idli. Check the seasoning and add salt accordingly.(Be careful while adding salt as we add some salt to idlis)
Cover and cook on a low heat for about 4 minutes.
Add coconut and mix it well. Cover and cook again for few more minutes.
Serve hot.

hi saritha... this is very delicious... good usage of leftover idlis... though we do not add coconut it is very delicious...

Hi there, try this..... after adding idli pieces along with a pinch of salt and turmeric powder Sprinkle idli milagai podi and mix throughly it tastes nice...I love cooking and reading receipts, but cannot invent my own, I learn from others.
