Simple Indian Lassi

This Lassi recipe is your answer to a sweetened refreshing yogurt drink that is ready in no time. A popular beverage in Northern India, this brings with it the vibrant and delicious flavors that are so typical of Indian cuisine.
Ingredients
  Yogurt 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Rose syrup 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

MAKING
1. In a bowl, take yogurt.
2. Add water and sugar.
3. Blend it well using a hand blender.
4. Pour it into a glass.
5. Pour rose syrup.

SERVING
6. Serve Simple Indian lassi as it is or chilled with crushed ice.

well the best lassi is made aat Prakash lassi in haridwar in india the y actually freeze their lassi so that the cream becomes a top layer of ice cream  you cant beat this lassi  EVERY ONE , if you are in or ner haridwar go to prakash lassi for the best lassi in the world

I like salted lassi far more than any sweetened lassi! but I might try it sweetened at home at some point :)

Salted lassi is not lassi, it is mattha or chaas http://www.ifood.tv/recipe/masala_chaas.It is a new thing to call it salted lassi. Ofcourse chaas is any day healthier than lassi but then taste is another thing. I am not saying one is yummier than the other. I can't compare an apple to a pear.

Sorry, I beg to differ...Lassi can be sweet or salted and it is still called 'Lassi"
