Bread Poha

This is one of the simplest snack anyone can make with the least of ingredients. Very tasty & healthy too!!. The best part about this snack is that you can use stale bread & curd n still dish out a very tasty dish. Staler the bread, tastier the poha!!. I don't mean something as old as an year but some bread kept in fridge for a week or two will do good. Even the dahi could be sour(Khatta). Also while cooking it might stick to the sides of the kadai, make sure to include that in the final outcome as the crunchyness of the dish improves. You could even replace the dahi with some lemon but the dish tastes best with dahi.
  Bread slices 4 (stale - the ratio is 4:1:1 i.e 4 slices/person/serving)
  Curd 2 Tablespoon (dahi)
Mustard seeds 1 Teaspoon (rye / sarson)
  Turmeric powder 1 Pinch (haldi)
  Garam masala 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Oil 2 Teaspoon
  Salt To Taste

1) Take the bread slices & crumble them between fingers.

2) Add Dahi, salt & garam masala to the bread n set aside for 2 mins.

3) Heat oil in a kadai, add haldi & rai until it splutters.

4) Add the bread mixture & mix well.

5) Cover & cook for 3-4 mins n make sure to keep stirring in between to avoid burning.

6) Serve hot with kethup or green chutney.
