Zuza zak's Weeknight Dinners: Lentil and Tomato Curry with Brown Rice

14th of 100 easy weeknight dinners: healthy, quick and cheap recipes that take about 30mins from start to finish. This is my interpretation of an Indian dhaal.
  Brown rice 1 Cup (16 tbs), cooked, drained
  Canned lentils 1 Can (10 oz)
  Canned chopped tomatoes 1 Can (10 oz)
  Onion 1 , chopped finely
  Garlic clove 2 , finely chopped
  Ginger To Taste, finely chopped
  Green chili 3 Medium, chopped finely (or to taste)
  Turmeric 2 Teaspoon (as needed)
  Sesame oil/Vegetable oil 1 Tablespoon
  Salt To Taste

1. In a wok, heat oil and saute onion, garlic, ginger, and chili for a couple of minutes or until softened.
2. Add turmeric, pour some water and fry for a few minutes.
3. Stir in lentils and chopped tomatoes. Season with salt and simmer for 15 minutes.

4. Serve curry with brown rice and enjoy!
