This is a classic imarti recipe. Imarti is a very popular sweet in the Bihar and Up region of India . It is extensively used during Diwali and other Indian festivals . Imarti makes your celebration more delightful. You will enjoy this imarti Recipe.
Ingredients
  Soaked urad dal 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Cardamom 2 Teaspoon
  Ghee 4 Tablespoon
  Saffron colour 3 Teaspoon
  Saffron color 3 Teaspoon
  Imarti nozzle 10 Milliliter
Directions

Point 1-Prepare sugar syrup of one thread consisitency.
Point 2-Grind dal using water to make thick batter.
Point 3-Mix 3 tsp saffron colour to the batter.
Point 4-Beat the mixture properly to make it smooth.
Point 5-Pour batter in Imarti nozzle.
Point 6-Heat ghee and form Imartis in it.
Point 7-Fry it till it turns crisp from both the sides.
Point 8-Dip them in sugar syrup.
Point 9-Remain them soaked in syrup for 8 minutes.
Point 10-Drain from the syrup.
Serve hot.

I used to purchase imarti..but looking at the recipe I think it can be made easily at home...
