South Indian Red Pumpkin And Drumsticks Gravy

  Red pumpkin 500 Gram, skinned and cut into large cubes
  Drumsticks 6 , stringed and each cut into 4 pieces
  Dried kashmiri red chilies 10
  Grated fresh coconut 1⁄2
  Cumin seeds 1 Tablespoon
  Black mustard seeds 1 Teaspoon
  Raw rice 2 Tablespoon, uncooked
  Turmeric powder 1 Teaspoon
  Green chillies 2 , split , deseeded
  Curry leaves sprigs 3
  Onions 2 , finely chopped
  Salt To Taste
  Coconut oil/Peanut oil 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)

Boil the drumsticks in salted water and set aside.
Cook the chopped red pumpkin in salted water and the turmeric powder till soft.
Place half a cup of oil in a vessel and add the onions and cook till soft. Add the curry leaves and the split chillies and cook for two minutes and then add the ground masala. Stir for two minutes and add the boiled pumpkin with its juice and the drumsticks. Shake the vessel from side to side, cook for five more minutes and serve hot.
