|Sweetened khoya||2 Cup (32 tbs) (burnt milk)|
|Cardamom powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Black gram||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), soaked in water for 3 hours (urad dal)|
|Ghee||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) (for frying)|
Drain and grind the dal to a fairly dry paste.
Add raisins to the khoya.
Make 18 balls of the khoya.
Cover each khoya ball with dal batter and fry in hot ghee.
Make a syrup with sugar and 1/2 cup water till a one-thread consistency is obtained.
Dip each khoya ball into the syrup flavoured with cardamom powder.
