Khatta Mitha Paneer

  Paneer 125 Gram, cut into 3/4 inch cubes
  Tomatoes 4 Large, chopped
  Onions 2 , chopped
  Green chillies 4 , chopped
  Carrots 2 Small
  Salt 2 Teaspoon
  Vinegar 2 1⁄2 Tablespoon (sirka)
  Soybean sauce 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Sugar 2 Tablespoon
  Chilli powder 1 Teaspoon
  Spring onions 2 , finely chopped (only the green stalk)
  White pepper 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Oil 4 Tablespoon
  Ajwain 1 Teaspoon, crushed
For batter
  Maida 4 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Water 4 Tablespoon
  Red chilli powder 4 Tablespoon

1. Chop tomatoes, onions, carrots and 2 green chillies. Add 2 tsp salt and 1/2 cup water. Simmer for 20 minutes till they are tender.
2. Pass through a fine sieve or a strainer.
3. Heat the puree, add soya-bean sauce, vinegar, salt and sugar and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on low heat.
4. Heat oil, and fry lightly the finely chopped spring onions.
5. Add aj wain and chilli pd., stir for a few seconds and then add the puree.
6. Add 2 finely cut green chillies and white pepper. Keep aside.
7. Prepareathickbatterbymixingtheingredientsmentioned.
8. Cut paneer into 3/4" cubes.
9. Dip each piece of the paneer into the batter and deep fry.
10. Add the fried paneer to the slightly heated sauce and simmer for 5-7 minutes or till the sauce penetrates into the paneer.
11. Add 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh coriander leaves.
