Dal Nariyal Ka Payas
|Green gram||1 Cup (16 tbs), soaked in water for 2 hours (Moong Dal)|
|Jaggery||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), melted|
|Cashewnuts||1 Teaspoon, coarsely pounded|
|Copra||1⁄2 Tablespoon, lightly fried in ghee|
|Dry cocount slices||1⁄2 Tablespoon, lightly fried in ghee|
|Ghee||1⁄4 Tablespoon (For Frying Copra Chips And Coconut Slices)|
|Coconut milk||5 Cup (80 tbs)|
|Raisins||1 Tablespoon, soaked in water|
|Cardamom powder||1 Teaspoon|
Stir fry the drained dal in ghee gently till it is pink.
Add 1 cup water and cook till very soft.
Add jaggery, nuts, copra, drained raisins and cardamom powder.
When blended, add the coconut milk.
Do not simmer too much after this addition.
Boil only once and serve hot or cold.
