|Gram flour||2 Cup (32 tbs) (Besan)|
|Khoya||1 Cup (16 tbs), unsweetened and mashed (Burnt Milk)|
|Saffron||1⁄2 Teaspoon, soaked in 1 tablespoon milk|
|Pistachios||2 Tablespoon, minced|
|Ghee||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Cardamom powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
Sieve gram flour and mix with milk and ghee to form a smooth mixture, without leaving lumps.
Mix sugar with 1 1/2 cups water and boil till a syrup of one-thread consistency is obtained.
Heat 2 tbsp of ghee and fry the gram flour mixture till pink and aromatic.
Add khoya and continue frying till golden.
Add syrup, nuts, cardamom powder and stir fry till the mixture is a solid mass.
Pat onto a greased plate.
Cool and cut into squares.
Serve at room temperature.
