Thikri Ki Dal

My friend, who is a professional chef at famous five star hotel in Jaipur, gave me this Thikri Ki Dal recipe. This is a traditional recipe. Thikri Ki Dal is a very popular dish in Rajasthan. It is generally eaten during lunch. It goes well with plain rice but it can also be eaten with roti. Cook, share and enjoy this classic Thikri Ki Dal recipe.
  Arahar dal 800 Gram
  Onion 300 Gram, chopped
  Cumin 15 Gram
  Ginger 20 Gram, chopped
  Chili 20 Gram, chopped
  Garlic 30 Gram, chopped
  Turmeric 20 Gram
  Mirch 16 Gram
  Red chilly 4 Gram
  Ghee 52 Gram
  Salt To Taste

Boil arhar dal with turmeric and salt in a mud pot.
Heat ghee in a pan, add cumin and allow to crackel, add gr. Chillies, ginger and garlic, saute.
Add onion and saute till golden, add degi mirch, stir and add to the dal.
