  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Tomatoes 2
  Tandoori masala 1 Tablespoon
  Salt To Taste
  Onion 1 Large
  Lime juice 1 Tablespoon
  Garlic ginger paste 1 Tablespoon
  Garam masala 1 Pinch
  Cumin powder 1 Teaspoon
  Cream 50 Milliliter
  Cilantro 1 Small
  Chilli powder 15 Gram
  Chicken 1000 Gram
  Cashew nuts 10
  Yogurt 2 Tablespoon

1. Cut chicken into thin slices and apply ginger garlic paste, salt, chilli powder and shallow fry in oil and set aside.
2. To the leftover oil, add cumin, onion, ginger garlic paste , add onion ,tomatoes, cashew and other spices and cook covered with little water till everything is mashed up
3. Put it in a blender and add to hot melted butter and cook on a medium flame season, color and add chicken and cook for few more minutes
4. Serve hot.

Use a pinch of papirika instead of chilli powder and you shd take away most of the hotness. You can avoid it altogether too. Hope tht helps.

I just made Butter Chicken & Believe me.."YOUGURT"(2 Tsps) simply kills the taste making it too sour. I wonder why is yogurt mentioned in the 'ingredients' when it's nowhere mentioned in the video???

hey Rashmi....the yogurt is intended to be used in the marinade..once you fry the chicken, the yogurt loses its sourness.

To The Chef, My hats off to this recipe, I have come across many in my searches however this has to be the best of the rest. It's simple to follow & tastes far better when you actually make it rather than a waiting on a waiter at a restuarent wondering if you ever get the dish. As is all dishes more satisfying to eat when one makes one. However your exuberance in illustrating your methods to all of us is the key to have acknowledge how to carry out the task set. Can you please provide the ingredients and the method to make the butter chicken mentioned in the video? The ingredients and method on this page are different than the video. I am planning to make it this weekend and loved the video recipe.

Found the correct Ingredients and measurements: 100 grams butter 4 piece cashewnuts 1 springs coriander leaves 1 tbsp coriander pdr 1/2 tsp Crushed fenugreek leaves 1/2 tsp cumin seeds 100 ml Fresh cream 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste 2 slice green chillies 2 tbsp oil 1 number onion 500 grams Raw chicken slices 1 tsp Red chilli powder 1 tsp Red chilli powder 1 to taste Salt 1/2 tsp Sugar 200 grams Tomato tomato ketchup ( optional )

'Marinade the chicken in the marinade', but u have not explained with what to marinade the chicken.

Hi Jhansi, marinate the chicken in 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, i teaspoon chili powder, 1 teaspoon coriander powder (dhania powder) and a little bit of salt.
