Masala Vada

An easy to make Masala Vada recipe. One of my favorites, this is also a very popular South Indian recipe. Please try it and let me know how this Masala Vada recipe turns out for you.
  Gram flour 2 Tablespoon
  Chana dal 200 Gram
  Cinnamon stick 3
  Whole red chili 3
  Curry leaves 1 Tablespoon, chopped finely
  Coriander leaves 1 Tablespoon, chopped finely
  Green chili 1 Tablespoon, chopped finely
  Cumin seeds 1 Teaspoon
  Salt To Taste
  Cooking oil 4 Cup (64 tbs) (For deep frying)

1. Soak chana dal for at least 40 to 5 hours.
2. In a blender, add cinnamon, red chilli and cumin, add soaked channa dal, and coarsely blend them together.

3. Add rest of the ingredients to the mixture and mix well. Add gram flour if required for binding.
4. In a wok, heat oil, flat dumplings of the chana dal mixture and deep fry in medium heat till golden brown and crispy.

5. Serve hot with your favorite dip.
