Chutney Powder or chutney podi is a powdered version of chutney. Chutney Powder can be bottled and preserved for a long time. Chutney powder can be used as a side dish for dosa, idli, pesarattu, pongal, curd rice, plain rice, sandwiches, etc. Try this simple and easy recipe of chutney powder. You will love it.
Ingredients
  Moong dal 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Chana dal 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Curry leaves 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Red chili 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Tamarind balls 1
  Coconut powder 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Salt 2 Tablespoon
Directions

MAKING
1. In a wok, place all ingredients, roast till the chana dal turns brown. Allow to cool.
2. In a grinder, place the mixture and grid to a fine powder.

SERVING
3. Serve as a side dish with idli or dosa.

TIP
It can be mixed with curd of oil.
It can be stored for about a month.

You are making me so hungry.I never used moong dhal for chutney powder. I am going to try it. I usually use urad dhal instead of moong dhal. Your chutney powder looks so good. I can not wait to try it. I start every meal with chutney powder and sesame oil than I eat sambar,etc.
