Ingredients
For masala powder
  Cumin seeds 1 Teaspoon
  Coriander seeds 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Peppercorns 8
Other ingredients
  Tomatoes 1 Kilogram
  Tamarind water 3 Tablespoon
  Lemon juice 1 Teaspoon
  Turmeric powder 2 Pinch
  Chili powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Asafoetida 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salt To Taste
  Chopped coriander 1 Tablespoon (For Garnish)
Directions

For the masala powder
Roast the cumin seeds, coriander seeds and peppercorns for 1 minute.
Grind into a masala powder.
How to proceed
1. Cut the tomatoes in half and place in 8 glasses of boiling water.
2. Add the remaining ingredients including the masala powder and boil for a further 10 minutes.
3. Break the tomatoes with a spoon.
4. Boil again for 10 minutes.
