Assamese Mustard Fish

Fresh fish marinated with turmeric, salt, lemon juice and simmered in a creamy mustard curry sauce.
Ingredients
  Hilsa/Any firm white fish 8
  Yellow mustard seeds 3 Tablespoon, soaked for 3 - 4 hours
  Onion paste 1 Tablespoon
  Green chili 4 (According To Taste)
  Turmeric powder 1 Teaspoon
  Lemon juice 1 Teaspoon
  Mustard seeds 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Mustard oil 4 Tablespoon
  Salt To Taste
Directions

1.Marinate fish in 1/2 Tsp of turmeric powder ,lemon juice and salt for 15 minutes.Heat oil in a wok and fry fish till golden.Keep aside.
2.Grind to a fine paste the soaked mustard seeds, 2 green chilies and 1/2 Tsp salt with a little water.Mix well and keep aside.
3.Heat 2 Tbs oil in in a separate pan. Add 1/2 Tsp mustard seeds
and 2 green chili.Saute a few seconds taking care not to burn the seeds
4.Add the onion paste and 1/2 Tsp turmeric powder .Saute slightly then add mustard paste and bring to boil adding 1 cup of water.
5.Reduce heat, simmer for about ten minutes or until gravy thickens to a desired consistency. Add the fish and simmer till done
6.Remove from heat. Add 1 tbs raw mustard oil (optional)
Serve hot with rice.
