Savory Tomato Rice
|Hot water||2 Cup (32 tbs) (Tap Water Is Sufficient)|
|Canned tomatoes||14 1⁄2 Ounce, cut up (1 Can)|
|Long grain white rice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chili sauce||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Green pepper||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), finely chopped|
|Bacon strip||4 , cooked and crumbled|
|Instant minced onion||2 Tablespoon|
|Brown sugar||1 Teaspoon|
|Worcestershire sauce||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
In 2-quart casserole, place water, tomatoes, rice, chili sauce, green pepper, bacon, onion, brown sugar, salt, pepper, water and Worcestershire sauce.
Microwave at high (10) 16 to 23 minutes until hot and rice is done, stirring every 8 minutes.
This casserole is very juicy immediately after microwaving.
Stir and let stand, uncovered, 5 minutes
