Indian Roti

Simple and easy way to cook roti ( Indian Flat Bread). See them pop on a gas stove. You can also use electric stove.
Ingredients
  Whole wheat flour 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Or As Required)
  Salt 1 Pinch
Directions

GETTING READY
1 In a food processor jar, combine flour, water and salt.
2 Process the mixture to form a soft dough.
3 Remove the dough from the food processor and place it in the refrigerator to chill.

MAKING
4 Take small chunks of the dough and roll them in your palm to make dough balls.
5 Dust the balls with some flour.
6 Roll each ball using the rolling pin into pita bread size Roti.
7 Meanwhile, place a skillet on high heat.
8 Transfer the rolled out roti to the hot skillet and cook one side.
9 Using a spatula, turn and cook the other side as shown in the video.
10 Carefully hold the roti over direct heat as shown in the video.
11 Repeat with the remaining dough.

SERVING
12 Serve hot with your choice of dal or curry.

Is it electric stove or gas stove you have? I have electric stove. I hope my roti will puff up too when I put in my electric stove. I am going to try it. Thanks again. You are so good what ever recipes you show it to us. Excellent job.

Yes - try it. I know several friends of mine who have an electric stove. Just put it on high and make sure that you do not burn the roti.

hi, im a little stuck i wonder if you could help me please. well when i make roti's the middle goes really hard and the sides dont cook i have an electic cooker so no flame means i cannot cook them directly on heat please help me its driving me crazy..
