Would you like to try an easy Zeera Rice or Cumin Rice Recipe? I call it Zeera pulao and my husband says it fried jira rice. This is an upgraded version of plane rice which is our staple food during lunch. Really, this Zeera Rice dish enhances the taste and overall presentation of the lunch menu. This is a main course dish and is liked with vegetarian and non-vegetarian combination. You can have it with Dal ( Pulses ) or with vegiterian and non-vegetarian curry. This is a good party dish also. Try this Zeera Rice Recipe. Your friends are going to love this lovely Zeera Rice. They are going to be all praise for your expert culinary skills.
Ingredients
  Rice 250 Gram
  Desi ghee/Vegetable oil 1 Teaspoon
  Cumin seed 1 Tablespoon
  Peeled pea 100 Gram
  Green chili 2
  Salt To Taste
Directions

Step 1: Wash the rice in fresh water

Step 2: Heat the pot and add a teaspoon of pure deshi ghee (indian name of hydrogentated
oils) or vegetable oil

Step 3: In the heated deshi ghee add cumin seed to splinter

Step 4: Add pieces of green chilies into the pan

Step 5: Add the peas and the rice and fry for two minutes

Step 6: Add double the amount of water and salt to taste

Step 7: Close the lid and leave it for 10 minutes on medium flame/heat

Step 8: After 10 minutes open the lid

Step 9: your sumptuous Zira Pulao is ready
