Aloo Korma

Ingredients
  Golden potatoes 4
  Fresh green peas/Frozen green peas 1⁄4
  Onions 1 , chopped
  Green chillies 3 , slit lengthwise
  Cilantro sprig 5 (coriander)
  Mint sprig 5 (pudina)
  Tomatoes 3 Medium
  Dhaniya powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon (coriander)
  Garam masala powder 1⁄4
  Yogurt 4 Tablespoon
  Ginger garlic paste 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Coconut powder 3 Teaspoon
  Mustard seeds 1⁄4
  Cumin seeds 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cloves 5
  Cinnamon sticks 3 Small
  Turmeric powder 1⁄4
  Salt To Taste
  Chilly powder To Taste
Directions

Boil potatoes in microwave or on stove for 12 minutes. They should not become too tender or remain too hard. Cut them into cubes. Keep aside.

Boil frozen green peas for a minute in microwave. The fresh peas will require an additional minute or two. Keep aside.

Grind tomatoes, mint, cilantro, yogurt, dhaniya powder, garam masala powder, ginger garlic paste, coconut powder and turmeric powder into a fine paste.

Heat 4 tbs oil in a deep vessel. Add mustard seeds and allow them to splutter. Add cumin seeds, cloves and cinnamon sticks. Add green chillies and chopped onions. Saute until onions turn brownish. Add the ground paste. Add green peas. Mix and cover with lid. Cook for about 5 minutes (until the raw tomato taste is gone). Remove lid and add the boiled potato cubes. Cook for another 2 minutes.

Garnish with cilantro.

Serve Hot with Rice/Rotis.
