Indian Rock's Apple Dumplings
|Flour||480 Milliliter (2 Cups)|
|Salt||1⁄4 Teaspoon (1 Milliliter)|
|Sugar||45 Milliliter (3 Tablespoon)|
|Baking powder||15 Milliliter (1 Tablespoon)|
|Unsalted butter||180 Milliliter (3/4 Cup)|
|Skim milk/Buttermilk||120 Milliliter (1/2 Cup)|
|Apples||3 , peeled, cored and quartered|
Combine flour, salt, 2 tbs sugar and baking powder and mix in cold butter with fingers.
Add the skim milk.
Work into dough.
Roll out dough into 12 circles.
Place 1 apple quarter in each piece of dough.
Pinch dough closed.
Sprinkle remaining sugar over dumplings.
Place on greased cookie sheet and bake 35-40 minutes in a preheated 350°F (180°G) oven until golden brown.
