Indian Style Lentil Curry

Lentil curry is a delicious tasty moong dal that is nicely flavoured with the curry powder, kasuri methi cumin, mustard and garlic. This Lentil curry tastes best when served over the hot cooked rice or with the chapati. Try out the spicy Indian dal and enjoy!
  Cumin seeds 1 Teaspoon
  Mustard seeds 1 Teaspoon
  Turmeric 2 Teaspoon
  Chili powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Curry powder 1 Teaspoon
  Chopped coriander 1 Tablespoon (For Garnish)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Kasuri methi 3 Teaspoon
  Moong dal 500 Gram (2 Mugs)
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), chopped
  Sunflower oil 3 Tablespoon
  Green chillies 3 , chopped

1) In a pan add the moong dal, soak for 5 minutes and rinse well. Then cover with water, atleast an inch above the dal and bring to a boil.
2) Simmer for 2 minutes, add turmeric, mustard seeds, curry powder, chilli powder and mix well.
3) Simmer for further 5 minutes, stir in between. Then add 1 cup water,and simmer for further 5 minutes.
4) Add the kasuri methi, stir well and simmer.
5) In a small shallow pan, heat the oil, add garlic, cumin stir and cook for a minute on low heat.
6) Remove and pour over the dal. Add the chillies if you want it really hot.
7) Stir and turn off the heat. Garnish with the chopped coriander and serve.
