|Saffron threads||1 Pinch|
|Slivered almonds||2 Tablespoon|
|Long grain rice||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Pistachio nuts||1 Tablespoon|
|Milk||5 Cup (80 tbs)|
|Sugar/As per taste||3 Tablespoon|
Add the milk and rice in a pan.
Put the ground cardamom into it.
Wait for the mixture to come to a boil.
Take care to simmer only slightly till the grains start breaking up and the rice gets softened.
Combine saffron, almonds and pistachio with it.
Cook for about 3-4 minutes.
Raisins can also be added if desired.
Now, put the sugar into it.
Blend well so that the sugar gets thoroughly dissolved.
Remove from the flame.
Rice kheer is ready to be served, either warm or chilled.
