Indian Style Lamb Curry

Ingredients
  Butter 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Onions 4 , chopped
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Boneless lamb shoulder 1 Pound, cut into 2 inch cubes
  Yoghurt 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Ground ginger 1 Teaspoon
  Ground coriander 2 Teaspoon
  Ground cinnamon 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Ground cardamom 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground cloves 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

1. In a heavy kettle melt the butter. Add the onions and garlic and saute until the onion is tender and transparent. Remove onions and garlic.
2. Add the meat to the kettle and brown on all sides. Return the onions to the pot and add the yoghurt and remaining ingredients. Simmer until tender, about thirty minutes. If desired, thin the sauce with water
