Crispy Crunchy Paneer Fingers - Delicious Vegetarian Snack

Crispy paneer finger is an amazing appetizer/ snack for vegetarians for any party or get together. Long paneer slices dipped in spicy batter and coated with crunchy sesame & breadcrumbs. Crunch of sesame seeds make this recipe different from others. Wanna try?
  Paneer 200 Gram
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Crushed pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Garlic powder 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Ginger paste 1 Teaspoon
To make batter:
  Plain flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cornflour 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Crushed pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Chili powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Crushed garlic 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ginger paste 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Chaat masala 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1 Pinch
  Oil 1 Teaspoon
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs) (use as required to make batter thick)
To coating:
  Breadcrumbs 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sesame seeds 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt To Taste
  Garlic powder To Taste


  1. First cut the paneer in lengthwise like finger. Make half inch pieces.
  2. Now marinade with salt, crushed pepper powder, little garlic powder and ginger paste.
  3. Now make a thick batter out of plain flour, cornflour, crushed pepper, red chili powder, crushed garlic, ginger paste, salt, chaat masala, baking soda and oil and water as required. Keep this aside.
  4. For outer coating combine breadcrumbs, sesame seeds, salt and garlic powder in a plate.There is no such measurement of adding breadcrumbs and sesame seeds. just make sure every paneer finger coats well.
  5. Now let's coat the paneer finger. Take a paneer slice.
  6. Dip in the batter with the help of a fork. Shake the excess batter.
  7. Coat in breadcrumbs and sesame seeds mixture well.
  8. Repeat the process until all paneer slices are done.
  9. Now put in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes before frying. Paneer fingers wil get nice binding.
  10. Just before serving, Fry them in hot oil until golden brown.
  11. Take out on tissue paper in a plate.


12. Serve piping hot with extra chaat masala sprinkle and tomato ketch up.
