Onion Dal Pakodas
|Bengal gram||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Mung dal||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Rice flour||1 Tablespoon|
|Chickpea flour||1 Tablespoon|
|Onions||4 Medium, finely chopped|
|Chili powder||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon (Or To Taste)|
|Green chili||1 , deseeded and chopped fine|
|Pepper powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Coriander leaves||1 Tablespoon, chopped fine|
Wash and soak the dals for an hour.
Grind with as little water as possible.
Transfer to a big bowl and add the chopped onion.
Then add the rice flour, chick pea flour, green chillies, red chillie powder, pepper powder, chopped coriander and salt, to make a thick batter to fashion pakodas out of.
If the batter is too runny add extra chick pea flour.
Shape into flat round pakodas.
Pre heat the oven to 250Â°C.
Grease a biscuit sheet and place the pakodas on it.
Smear lightly with oil.
Bake at 220Â°C for 20 minutes or till done.
Serve hot with tomato sauce ,or mint chutney.
