Dried yeast | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Sugar | 1 Pinch | |
Warm water | 3/4 Cup (12 tbs) | |
All purpose flour | 2 1/2 Cup (40 tbs) | |
Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
Whipped yogurt | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Butter/Oil | 1 Tablespoon (for brushing) | |
Toppings | 1 Tablespoon (Optional toppings – Onion flakes, black Sesame seeds, dried Fenugreek, Chilli flakes) |
MAKING:
In a bowl, combine water, sugar, yeast and mix well. Allow to rest until frothy.
In an electric mixer, combine flour, salt, fermented yeast and knead until it turns into dough.
Transfer the dough to oiled bowl, cover with cling film and allow to rise for an hoiur in a warm place until it rises.
Knead again and divide the dough into 8 portions.
Roll into an oblong shape and add toppings over it.
Cook on tava as shown in the video.
