|Milk||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Shortening||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
Combine the brown sugar, milk, shortening and salt in a saucepan over low heat; stir well.
Turn heat to high and bring rapidly to a full boil, stirring constantly.
Boil at 220 degrees for exactly 1 minute.
Remove from heat.
Beat until the mixture loses its gloss, is lukewarm and of spreading consistency.
