Broiled Coconut Topping
|Soft butter/Regular margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Light cream/Evaporated milk||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Undiluted)|
|Light brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), firmly packed|
|Coconut||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Flaked Or Shredded)|
In small bowl, combine all ingredients; mix well.
Spread evenly over top of hot 8-inch or 9-inch square cake.
Run under broiler, 4 inches from heat, 2 to 3 minutes, or until topping is bubbly and golden.
Cool cake in pan on wire rack; serve slightly warm
