Orange Flavored Icing
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cornstarch||4 1⁄2 Tablespoon|
|Orange juice||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Egg yolks||4 , beaten|
|Orange rind||1 Tablespoon|
1) In a pan, combine sugar, cornstarch, salt, orange juice and water.
2) Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Then, remove from heat.
3) To this, add the beaten egg yolks, butter and orange rind.
4) Cool thoroughly.
5) Frost the cake layers, as desired.
