Banana Split Topping

This is a brilliant Banana Split Topping recipe! This tasty and well flavored sauce makes the banana or ice cream it is added to taste heavenly! Try the Banana Split Topping!
  Canned pineapple chunks 8 1⁄4 Ounce, drained, reserve syrup (1 Can)
  Canned dark sweet pitted cherries 17 Ounce, drained, reserve syrup (1 Can)
  Cornstarch 1 1⁄2 Tablespoon
  Bananas 2 , cut into 1 inch pieces
  Ice cream 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Favorite Flavors, Adjust Quantity As Needed)

Reserve 1/4 cup syrup.
In medium glass bowl, combine remaining syrups, pineapple and cherries.
Cook at HIGH 3 to 4 minutes; stir once.
Blend cornstarch with reserved syrup until smooth.
Stir into hot mixture.
Cook at HIGH 2 to 2 1/2 minutes, or until sauce is thickened; stir once.
Cool slightly; slice bananas over ice cream and add topping.
