Strawberry Water Ice

Ingredients
  White sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Crushed strawberries 1 Pint (1 1/2 Cups Fresh)
  Lemon 1⁄2 , juiced
  Orange 1⁄2 , juiced
  Salt 1 Pinch
Directions

Combine sugar and water in a saucepan.
Bring this syrup to the boil.
Boil 6 minutes.
Cool slightly.
Mix together the crushed berries, lemon and orange juice, salt, and syrup.
Pour the mixture into two cake pans or shallow freezing trays and freeze 1-1 1/2 hours or until it is mushy.
Transfer the frozen mixture to a chilled mixing bowl.
Beat well with an electric beater until the mixture takes on a creamy smooth appearance.
Spoon into a container with a tight fitting lid and refreeze.
This water ice is best eaten before it is frozen too hard.
