Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
|Heavy cream/Whipping cream||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vanilla beans||2 , split lengthwise in half|
|Vanilla extract||1 Tablespoon|
|Egg yolks||4 Large|
1.In a beavy saucepan, add in milk, cream, vanilla beans, sugar and vanilla extract. Place over medium heat and cook for 10 minutes until sugar dissolves completely.
2.In a bowl, beat the egg yolks to belnd well. Pour in 1 cup hot milk gradually and blend well to attain a smooth consistency.
3.Now, take a saucepan and gently, pour in the egg-milk mixture into it and cook over medum heat stirring continuously until the mixture thickens to coat the back of a spoon. This take about 6 to 8 minutes.
4.Into a bowl, strain the mixture and let come to room temperature.
5.Transfer into ice cream maker and freeze according to instructions of manufacturer.
6. Serve chilled as dessert.
