Honey Ice Cream
|Egg||1 , separated|
|Double cream||8 Fluid Ounce, chilled (230 Milliliter)|
|Vanilla essence||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
1) Beat the yolk of the egg till it is creamy and thick and then add honey, very gradually, and properly mix.
2) In a cool bowl, whip the cream till it is thickened and then fold it into the egg and honey mix, along with the vanilla essence.
3) Place in the freezer till the mixture is firm.
4) Serve chilled.
Hazelnut ice cream is a popular variation. To make it, add about 4 ounces of roasted chopped hazelnuts to the mixture once the vanilla essence has been added in step 2.
To make Banana ice cream, another variation, mash 1 or 2 ripe bananas and add to the mixture after the vanilla essence has been added. Top with some blanched almonds.
Fruit ice cream can be made with almost all fruits when they have either been finely chopped or are in the cooked pureed form.
